A few weeks ago I read a profile in the New York Times on Jan Egeland who is the UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs & Emergency Relief Coordinator - a very long title to say that he cares and does something about it. I was so moved by his resume, I wrote offering to help him promote his concerns in any way I could on a public platform. I met with Stephanie Bunker who is the Information Officer in Mr. Egeland's office. We had a very intersting conversation and came up with some simple, beginning ideas. So many of you, after reading my book, have asked what you can do, how you can lead your lives and still make a difference and help others in the world.
